The True Cost of Breast Cancer Treatment
"The average cost of an abbreviated MRI is $410 (Approx $34/month).
That may seem like a lot, but consider that treating stage 4 cancer is TEN TIMES more expensive on average than treating it at Stage I. Take a look at the examples in the chart. The least expensive treatment at Stage IV (4) averages $193,490. The same treatment at Stage 1 is $25,247. Save yourself the stress, and literally thousands of dollars.
AB-MRI's can find DCIS (ducal carcinoma in situ) which means they can find cells that have not yet become invasive cancer. This is the best case scenario. Mammograms will not find these cell clusters.
